Fundraising Readiness & Audit Cleanup
How I stabilized accounting, audit support, inventory/WIP visibility, equity transactions, and investor-ready documentation in a high-complexity startup environment.
At Silver Bullet, I stepped into a startup environment that needed stronger financial infrastructure ahead of fundraising. The work required stabilizing accounting, resolving audit and compliance issues, improving inventory and WIP visibility, supporting convertible debt and equity transaction work, and preparing documentation that leadership, auditors, and investors could rely on.
The Operating Problem
The company was preparing for fundraising while still working through accounting, audit, compliance, inventory, WIP, equity, and reporting complexity. Financial information needed to become cleaner, more organized, and easier to explain.
The operating environment included multiple locations, international subsidiaries, inventory movement, equipment documentation, audit support, convertible loan conversion, employee common stock matters, and stock split activity. This required finance to move beyond routine accounting and become a source of diligence readiness, operational clarity, and investor confidence.
What Changed
The work helped move the company toward cleaner financial records, stronger audit support, clearer inventory and WIP visibility, and better documentation for fundraising and leadership review. Accounting became more organized, audit issues were addressed, convertible loan and equity transaction work was supported, stock split activity was documented, and international inventory documentation became easier to explain.
The result was a more credible finance foundation for a startup preparing for investor review while managing operational complexity across products, locations, subsidiaries, and transaction requirements.
What I Led
01 - Accounting Stabilization & Reporting
Directed accounting workflows across AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory, WIP, cash management, general ledger, close, financial statements, and management reporting.
02 - Audit Cleanup & Compliance Resolution
Resolved audit and compliance issues that affected external review, fundraising readiness, and leadership confidence in the underlying financial records.
03 - Inventory, WIP & Multi-Location Visibility
Improved visibility into inventory and WIP across multiple locations and subsidiaries, including equipment documentation, physical count support, and international movement records.
04 - Equity, Conversion & Stock Split Support
Supported due diligence required to convert convertible loans to preferred stock while employees held common stock, and supported two rounds of stock splits during the same year.
05 - Systems, Policies & Internal Controls
Strengthened accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and system workflows to support more reliable reporting and operational decision-making.
What This Demonstrates
This case study demonstrates my ability to step into a high-complexity startup finance environment and build the clarity needed for audits, fundraising, inventory visibility, equity transactions, and leadership decision-making. I can connect accounting cleanup to investor readiness, operational documentation, internal controls, and executive confidence.
